Coffman is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist for our growing Region. This role combines the technical skills to understand a complex project billing and accounting system and the ability to communicate detailed information to customers and project management staff.

The ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication skills, an interest in teamwork and collaboration, attention to detail and desire to work in a creative professional environment.

Qualifications

Requirements Include :

• Two-year degree or higher (preferred)
• Three or more years of accounting experience with an engineering, consulting, or other project-based firm (preferred)
• Experience with BST and FileMaker Pro (preferred)
• Ability to independently manage time and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing the highest quality work, accuracy, and customer service.
• Applicants must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both clients and staff.
• Must be detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in collecting.

In This Role You Will :

• Own the project billing from beginning to completion for the Southeast Region.
• Prepare monthly draft bills for Project Managers and General Managers review; revise as needed.
• Research and resolve billing inquiries and issues from clients or staff.
• Ensure clients invoicing documentation requirements are complete and client has everything required to process.
• Track and pursue accounts receivable.
• Manage and administer new project set-up in the accounting system.
• Maintain project billing files.
• Assist project managers with project reporting and provide various reports to management as requested.
• Work with project managers as needed on project budget maintenance.
• Ensure sub consultants invoicing documents are complete and ready for processing.
• Work with General Manager on annual budgets and forecasting.
• Additional activities include, but are not limited to : accounts payable, check deposits, and cash disbursement journal

This position is a hybrid position with three in-office / two WFH days.
